In the Vågsøy district in western Norway Kvalheim Kraft DA runs the onshore wind farm Mehuken I with a capacity of 4.2 MW and Kvalheim Kraft is in the process of constructing the wind farm  Mehuken II, consisting  of 8 wind turbines with a total capacity of 18.4 MW.

DONG Energy owns 33% of Kvalheim Kraft DA.

Mehuken I went into operation in 2001 and Mehuken II is expected to go into production at the end of 2010. The joint energy production from the two wind farms is expected to be approximately 70 GWh per year, corresponding to the approximate yearly energy consumption of 3,500 Norwegian households.
