The existing wind farm Nygårdsfjellet presently comprises three wind turbines of 2.3MW each of which DONG Energy holds a 50 per cent ownership.



DONG Energy is in the process of erecting additional wind turbines on the mountain Nygårdsfjellet 30 kilometres from Narvik near the Europe Road to Kiruna and Luleå in Sweden. The mountain lies approximately 400 metres above sea level. 11 turbines of between 2.3 and 3.0MW will be erected.
 
Nordkraft Vind A/S is owned by DONG Energy A/S and Nordkraft AS, each holding 50 per cent of the ownership. DONG Energy already owns one third of Nordkraft – this means that in total DONG Energy will own two thirds of the new wind farm.
